Teaching and Learning


Learning is based on activity orientation. Emphasis is on developing the communication skills of the students which enable them to pursue nursing management roles. A multi sensory approach is followed using the multimedia to stimulate and sustain the students interest. The focus is on acquiring in–depth conceptual knowledge, skill in giving tender loving care to the clients with a desirable attitude.

Labs


Foundation of Nursing, Mother and Child Health, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and Community Health Nursing labs are fully equipped with latest models, Dummies for practicing various Nursing procedures and for learning the concepts with understanding.

Clinical Facilities


The college and school are affiliated to 100 bedded St. Ann's Hospital for students' clinical practice. Apart from the parent hospital, the college and School are also affiliated to MGM Govt. Hospital (1000 beds), Govt. Maternity Hospital (100 beds) and Institute of mental health for advanced clinical practice.

Community Health Nursing


It is the back bone of the health care system in India. Hence the students are given extensive exposure in rural and urban community health nursing as students stay with the people in the village during there postings.

This promotes among students leadership qualities, event management abilities and enhances co – operation and collaboration.

SNA activities

Academic empowerment goes hand in hand with social development with expert guidance. The students are introduced into creative fields which help them discover and develop their interests.

The students are divided into four groups for competitive participation in academic and co-curricular activities. Annual nurses week celebration provides the perfect platform for the students to unwind and showcase their talents. This brings the school of nursing and college of nursing together providing students the opportunity to experience the joy of team work and healthy competition.

Batch wise annual educational tours are arranged to widen the knowledge of students in different subjects of Nursing and other aspects of life.
